Starting the upcoming Summer term (2017-18), the ASD team will become part of the Educational Psychology and Specialist Support and will be offering services, both as part of the Local Offer and Traded facilities.

As part of the Local Offer, each Norfolk school will be able to request and access one ASD consultation per year, free at the point of delivery.

Extra ASD services (in the form of consultation, assessment, intervention, training or practical classroom support) can be accessed via EPSS traded contracts, available in Educators Solution portal. Such services can be access as part of the two ECO contracts, or as a Bespoke Package, under Bespoke Package – ASD / SEMH Bespoke service. As usual, we have looked very carefully at costs and, for ASD colleagues, the schools will have a 2:1 time use, if part of the ECO contracts (meaning that 1 day of ASD service will “cost” the school half an EPSS day). We will also ensure that any the Bespoke Packages will follow same cost efficiency for schools.

The referral route for both services above is via the EPSS referral forms attached. Additionally, the schools requesting ASD services will also have to submit in the second document (checklist), alongside the referral.
