School admission policy : 2023/24 (Agreed)

When the Academy is oversubscribed, after the admission of pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan naming the Academy, priority for admission will be given to those children who meet the criteria set out below,

1. Looked after children and children who were previously looked after but immediately after being looked after became subject to adoption, a child arrangements order, or special guardianship order.

2. Children with exceptional medical or social needs. Supporting evidence will need to be submitted with the application. See note below on medical and social need.

3. Children who are attending St. Clements Hill Nursery and are eligible for Pupil Premium or Service Premium. Evidence of eligibility will need to be submitted with the application.

4. Children who will have a sibling still in attendance at the Academy at the date of admission.

5. Distance Criteria – Places will be awarded accordingly to the straight line distance between the pupil’s home address and the designated central point of the academy building. The pupil who has the shortest distance to the Academy will be awarded the place.
