County Council Closure Christmas 2001

The County Council closes for Christmas during the following dates:

The dates we are closed form part of the leave entitlement for all centrally employed staff. However, closure during the afternoon of 21st December creates a unique situation whereby the Education Department is closed whilst schools are still working. I have discussed this with my management team and we have agreed that all Education offices will remain open for schools until 4.30 pm on the 21 December. Volunteers will staff the offices and whilst this will mean lower staffing levels than normal, we will ensure that access to Education Department services is maintained.

May I take this opportunity of wishing you all a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

Yours sincerely

DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION
