Dear Headteacher
URGENT - Re: QCA Optional Tests - Final
request for submission of invoices
On the 18th October 2002 all schools were sent management information sheet MI 223/02 for Primary Phase Schools and MI 224/02 for Secondary Phase Schools, explaining why it had become necessary to amend the way that the funding for the QCA optional tests is allocated to schools. Funding for the tests comes from grant money obtained through the Public Service Agreement and is linked to strategies for reaching attainment targets in 2003.
We requested that all invoices be initially paid for by the school and copies with the exact numbers of children/pupils taking the tests by Year group be sent to Robin Biss at the Professional Development Centre. This will then enable us to credit your school account with the LEA funding as per the formula set out in the letter.
As we are now reaching the end of our accounting period, we would stress that the copy invoices and requested information is submitted to us no later than the 19th May 2003. Any invoice submitted after that time we would be unable to honour payment.
All orders for QCA materials had to be in by the end of November 2002 and invoices have been/will be issued during the Spring term 2003 and so this gives schools adequate time to adhere to the 19th May deadline.
Yours sincerely
