To
Headteachers of all Secondary and Special Schools
Dear Colleague,
As you know, the LEA
offered to pay for the QCA Optional Tests for 2002-3 financial year. We are now asking you to send in your test
results for aggregation and analysis.
For us to be able to do this, you will need to enter the test data into
your Phoenix (or other manage-ment information system). Guidance notes (for
Phoenix) will be available on the ICT Solutions website. Once the data is
entered, it should be returned to the Management Information Centre by AVCO
(secure data transfer) in the same way that your PLASC data was sent. If you
are not using Phoenix, please contact Chris Jackson (tel. 01603 224223) to
discuss the required file format for the data. Please would you submit the data
by Thursday 3rd July. As soon as we have received the data to produce
some aggregated Norfolk figures, we will make the figures available to you.
Please note we are
NOT asking schools for data from the Year 7 Progress Tests.
As last year, we will
be asking you to provide a summary of your provisional Key Stage 3 results as
early as possible. Results are due into
schools from the marking agencies by
continued …….

Tuesday 8th
July and we are asking you to let us have the information by Friday 11th July. A form will be sent to you early in
July for returning by fax. Providing we
receive all schools’ provisional figures by the required deadline, we will be
able to let you have provisional LEA figures before the end of term.
Should you wish to
make contact with us about the above arrangements, please feel free to email
either Terry Cook at terry.cook.edu@norfolk.gov.uk
, or Chris Jackson at chris.jackson.edu@norfolk.gov.uk
.
Yours
sincerely
