Bart Taylor, Deputy Director of Education, has retired from Norfolk County Council with effect from 1 September 2001. I am sure that colleagues will join me in thanking Bart for his contribution to the Education Service in Norfolk and to wish him well in the future.

The process of appointing a successor to Bart will begin immediately and I will of course keep schools informed.
