General Security Advice for Staff in Norfolk Schools
In the light of recent terrorist attacks in America, and a general heightening of security in the U.K., all local government offices are reminding staff of their arrangements to help keep people and premises safe.
Our priority in the Education Service is to make sure that staff and children can go about their normal work safety and without anxiety, so we would like to remind everyone of some sensible precautions to take.
Staff receiving mail
If you have doubts about letters, packages or parcels, don't open them, leave them alone and keep others away. Inform the police.
All staff and visitors
Make sure that your arrangements for welcoming visitors include signing in and/or the issuing of a visitor's badge.
Where staff usually wear an identification badge make sure that it is clear how staff can obtain a replacement in case of loss.
