Dear Colleague

NORFOLK EDUCATION STAFF WELL-BEING PROJECT

I am writing to you with some good news. You may know that the Well-Being Project is a pioneering scheme run by Education Personnel Services on behalf of all LEA employees, and that it complements the Norfolk Support Line counselling service. There has been so much interest in the well-being programme in Norfolk that the number of schools becoming directly involved has far exceeded our expectations. As the Project approaches the end of its two-year pilot phase (at Easter, 2001), I am pleased to inform you that we have gained enough advance funding already for this important programme to continue.

The Well-Being Project currently makes use of funding from several sponsorsing bodies, including TBF: Teacher Support Network, Norfolk County Council, and the Health and Safety Executive. The funding picture for next year is by no means complete, but for 2001 we have already secured financial support from the County Council’s Risk and Insurance Section and from Norfolk LEA. This will enable us to make further progress:
