Q. Why have NCS and NPS chosen to go down this route ?

A. There are some forthcoming changes in legislation that will restrict our trading opportunities in the future unless we become Limited companies. Norfolk County Council believes its best value programme will be enhanced by NCS and NPS having the powers to trade more freely.

Q. Will NCS and NPS still be part of the County Council ?

A. Yes, they will become Limited companies, wholly owned by the County Council.

Q. Will prices increase as a result ?

A. No, It is not the intention of either company to increase prices other than their normal inflationary uplift.

Q. Will our contacts remain the same ?

A. Yes, there are no planned changes to staffing within any areas.

Q. Will this change have an impact on the service we receive?

A. Only a positive one! With both NCS and NPS seeking to compete in a wider marketplace it is vital that the services we provide continue to promote best value.

Q. Will there be any changes in the way we are invoiced ?

A. No – You will continue to be invoiced on a monthly basis for work against a Contract or individually for all Ad-hoc work as currently.
