Child Protection Briefing Sessions
Aim/Purpose: To brief School’s Designated Teachers for Child Protection on the following:

Changes to the way in which schools will make Child Protection referrals in the future (September 2000).

Information for Designated Teachers on the new Area Child Protection Committee/Local Education Authority procedures.

To explain the Social Services Department refocusing in line with the Children Act 1989.

For School’s Designated Teachers to raise concerns, issues and examples of positive partnership between the LEA and SSD.

All briefing sessions will be held from 4.30pm – 5.30pm
