Health and Safety Annual Management Cycle

Stage 2 – Risk Assessment - Reminder

You will recall Gerry Wilson’s letter of 12th June 2000 (attached to Management Information sheet MI 115/00) regarding general risk assessment for your establishment. This process should be carried out between June and the end of September.

The assessment may identify a number of remedial actions necessary to reduce risk and those that require action by the LEA should be listed on the Remedial Action Return proforma. This form (RA REM1) must be submitted by 1st October 2000.

Can I remind you that it will not be possible to deal with forms that are submitted after this date. Previously, proformas have arrived throughout the Autumn term and sometimes beyond and this causes difficulties for budget planning for the following financial year.

The information and documentation for this process is contained in sections 3 and 4 of the Health and Safety Manual. The manual is available electronically via the Health and Safety website at:http://www.esinet.norfolk.gov.uk/H&S/Home.htm (click on H&S Documentation to download a copy of the Remedial Action Return proforma).
