Autumn Term 2001 Agenda for your RDA Visit

I am writing to provide for you and your chair of governors the RDA agenda for the Autumn Term 2001.

Agenda

1. School Self Review Process

Confirmation of grades agreed last term or complete grades if required.

Agree the agenda for the self review process.

Where a grade of 5 or lower has been awarded, state what action the school is taking to address the issue and confirm that the governing body has been informed. If the governing body has not been informed, request this is undertaken by the headteacher at the next governors’ meeting.

1a Analysis of Performance Data

For each key stage:-

Size of cohort

Test and teacher assessment results/exam results

Trends over time

Attainment against the school’s targets

Any anomalies in these results

Autumn Package analysis (if available)

1b Monitoring linked to self review

Brief summary of findings.

2 School Development and Improvement Plan

Summarise progress against the key priorities.

2a Target Setting

Completion of target setting proforma for those schools with Y6, Y9 and Y11 pupils.

2b Use of Standards Fund/Package

In particular, how schools with weaknesses are spending their allocation.

3 3a Other School Agenda Items

3b Report on Other LEA Activity

Report on other LEA Activity to cover NQTs where applicable. (Self Review Sections 7 and 8).
Update on the staffing situation (Self Review Section 8).
Initial discussion re. Management of Residential and Adventurous Activities (Self Review Sections 5 and 7).
Advice and support packages.

Your RDA will be in contact with you in the near future to organise your termly visit and will need to negotiate with you any items under section 3a Other School Agenda Items.

Please find attached for your information a copy of the letter sent to all KS2 schools re. target setting. For First Schools the section relating to the provision of QCA optional tests will be of relevance.
