SCHOOLS’ TARGET SETTING TIMETABLE

PRIMARY PHASE SCHOOLS KEY STAGE 2 – AUTUMN 2002

4 September 2002	Every school receives reminder letter outlining the target-setting process together with indicative targets produced by Fischer Family Trust. Letter will detail time-scales and activities to be undertaken.
First half of autumn term	Schools bring together school data, Fischer Trust information and Autumn Package and discuss with staff to initiate the process of compiling provisional targets
1 November 2002	Schools to set provisional targets and submit them to their RDA, electronically if possible
by 15 November 2002	LEA analyses school-level data and produces LEA predictive targets based upon composite school results
Between 18 November and 6 December 2002	RDAs negotiate targets with each school in the light of composite LEA predictive targets
By 20 December 2002	Governors verify targets; Chair of Governors, Headteacher and RDA complete and sign the target-setting pro forma and submit to the LEA
