Dear Colleague
Behaviour Support Plan
I have the pleasure of enclosing a copy of the Behaviour Support Plan for Norfolk for the period 2001 – 2004. The first Behaviour Support Plan was published in December 1998 and provided details of provision and action to be taken to improve support for children and young people who have social, emotional and behavioural needs. Much has been achieved over this period but there is more still to do.
The purpose of the Behaviour Support Plan is to ensure that there are comprehensive and well understood local arrangements for managing pupil behaviour and discipline problems and for co-ordinating approaches to those who have social and emotional difficulties.
The revised Plan provides details of progress made since 1988, current provision and plans to bring about further improvement.
Yours sincerely
Director of Education
