Dear Headteacher,

Most schools nominate a day in December when a Christmas Lunch will be available to the pupils and staff. If you would like the meal to contain items of food and drink in addition to those provided with a standard "roast lunch", e.g. extra vegetables or a chipolata sausage, then there will be, as usual, an additional charge for them. The cook responsible for the provision of your school’s meals has a list of the items available with their prices. Please note that there is no obligation to have them.

However, should you choose to have any "extras", the additional money paid above the standard meal price will need to be accounted for in a different way. I should be grateful, therefore, if you would give your secretary the enclosed instruction sheet which explains the necessary procedures for completing the Weekly School Catering Return (E20).
