Dear Colleague

Those of you who attended the Headteacher and Chair of Governor meetings in the Summer Term, will be aware of the discussion which the above prompted and of the requests made for the LEA to provide guidance for schools, as well as for the introduction of a standard application form to be used across the county.

It is hoped that you will find the attached documents, which have been prepared by staff in the Core Team of Norfolk Pupil Attendance Service, helpful in our joint efforts to improve the levels of attendance in all schools.

Should you wish to discuss the implications of this with regard to specific children then please contact the Education Social Worker allocated to your school.
