The issue of the effectiveness of the behaviour management policy and practice at whole school, classroom and individual child level should be thoroughly explored prior to any request for training in Positive Handling Strategies. It is not envisaged that all schools will need the detailed level of training referred to in the briefing paper. It is anticipated that most pupils requiring this level of intervention will
