Now that you have delegated funds for school meals it is no longer necessary for your administrative staff to complete a Weekly School Catering Return (E20). The information contained on the return was used to reconcile the catering contractor’s monthly invoice; you will undoubtedly be setting up your own system for doing this in the future.

However, because the amount of delegated funds for school meals is largely dependent upon the number of free and paid meals consumed at the school during the previous full academic year, it will still be necessary for you to supply this limited information to Education Financial and ICT Services.

We have designed an Excel spreadsheet, a copy of which is on the enclosed diskette. A few brief explanatory notes are also enclosed to aid completion. The period covered by the spreadsheet is the summer term only. This is deliberate because it is intended to be a trial, which if successful, we will extend to cover a full academic year. Please feed back to us any comments you may have.
