Dear Colleague
The Secretary of State has considered the Authority’s
proposed revisions to Norfolk’s Scheme for Financing Schools and has approved
the revised version.
The full text
of the revised Scheme is published on the EFS website at http://efs.norfolk.gov.uk/budgetarea/financing_scheme.htm
The main changes are:
1)
Para 1.1 –
Extension of the paragraph in order to state that the provisions of the Scheme
apply to nursery schools from April 2004.
2)
Para 3.2 – A
change to the way in which schools receive their budget share advances.
3)
Para 4.1 – The
addition of a statement relating to surplus balances.
4)
Annex A – The
list of schools to which the Scheme applies has been updated.
5)
Annex D –
Contract Standing Orders have been updated in accordance with changes made to
Norfolk County Council’s Contract Standing Orders.
6)
Annex E – A
change to the way in which the LEA charges schools the lost interest when
budget share advances have to be made before the due date.
