Safe use of images |

Summary of
contents |
Photography, filming and
the use of video cameras has become an issue for many schools recently. Much
of the attached document on the safe use of images is of direct relevance to
schools. Whether it is photography
for the local newspaper or video recording from the audience during the
school nativity, it is clear that parental consent cannot be taken for
granted. These guidelines and recommendations, updated this year, will help schools develop procedures and policies to minimise the risk of problems arising. The fundamental issue is that of consent, but this document also provides guidance on the suitability of images, and how to avoid pitfalls in using images inappropriately. |
