SCHOOL COURIER
|
||
Summary of
contents |
I am pleased to advise that the courier company 24-7 Dispatch will start deliveries to schools on Monday 28th and Tuesday 29th June. As this is a new contract it is highly likely that the
delivery day for some schools will not be the same as with the previous
contractor. 24-7 Dispatch are currently working on their delivery routes and
are unable at this stage to advise whether individual schools will get a
delivery on a Monday or a Tuesday. However, the expectation is that once the
routes are established each school will again get a regular delivery day. In arranging the new contract it was necessary to negotiate arrangements for the collection of the return post to County Hall. The contractor was concerned that delays at schools in waiting for return parcels would have an impact on their costing of the contract. Consequently in order to maintain the return service at an economic price, the contractor will only collect parcels that are ready when the courier arrives at the school. Please ensure that any return post is addressed ready for collection prior to the arrival of the courier The new courier is eager to fulfil the contract well and efficiently; we therefore ask your patience for the first few weeks until they have become familiar with all our schools delivery/collection points.
