Norfolk Self Review reference

7. How well is the school led and managed?

Document reference

Last June MI Sheet 118/04 asked that you provide information about your school’s awards and logo for inclusion in a revised version of EsiNet’s SchoolFinder which was then under development.

More than half of Norfolk’s schools replied and so their awards and logo have been included on the new SchoolFinder, which can be viewed at:

http://www.esinet.norfolk.gov.uk/schoolfinder/. Thanks for your help with this.

The update to the site has also corrected some errors that schools had previously reported to us.

The site is visible to all users of EsiNet in Norfolk and across world via the World Wide Web. SchoolFinder is the most visited part of EsiNet, it is therefore important that you are happy with the data being presented so the site also provides you with an electronic route to add to and update appropriate information – click on UPDATE at the foot of the page to go to the update section. Updating your information this way has the benefit of updating our central databases and so will correct the LEA’s records and therefore minimise mistakes and the need to inform others of the changes.

Now that this is in place, if you use the electronic update section, there is no need to advise the LEA separately in writing of any of the changes you make. Please note: although the update section is password protected, proposed changes will also be moderated by our Central Administration team before being allowed to update our databases. This may mean there will be one or two working days delay before the update takes effect.

We hope this development is welcomed and benefits you and your school as well as the many users of EsiNet.
