IN-YEAR ADJUSTMENT TO SCHOOL BUDGET SHARES

Please find attached an updated school budget share, which includes an adjustment based on the schools September pupil numbers.

The budget share has been recalculated using the actual number on roll as at 16 September to replace the number estimated for the initial February Budget Share. This resulting adjustment is shown as a single figure on the LMSB2-3 under line 3.23 – In-Year Adjustment. Infant Class Size and ceiling funding have also been recalculated where appropriate.

A breakdown detailing which items of the formula have been changed to achieve the adjustment can be found on the Education Finance website at http://efs.norfolk.gov.uk/index.htm and go to Budget Share.

Schools should already have estimated what this adjustment would be in terms of September pupil numbers in their submitted annual budget plans. Therefore, the enclosed updated budget share may not indicate a corresponding change on the budget plan. Please contact your Finance Support Officer in you require further assistance.
