Information
about TRICK OR TREAT |
||
Summary of contents |
The Local Education
Authority, in association with Norfolk Police, the Evening News and Churches
Together in Greater Norwich, is supporting an initiative to warn children
both of the dangers of 'Trick or Treating' and of the distress this can cause
older and more vulnerable householders. Far from wishing to
deny children the fun and excitement of well-organised entertainment, the
campaign seeks to minimise unwanted, unpleasant or intimidating door-to-door
calling. Details of
alternatives to 'Trick or Treating' will appear on the public 'Esinet' site (www.esinet.norfolk.gov.uk ),
together with further information of the Evening News 24 website (http://www.eveningnews24.co.uk ) . Schools are
encouraged to support the initiative. |
