JOHN CRAIG SCAM
Summary of
contents |
Again school are receiving chain letters requesting compliment slips or letter headings to be sent to John Craig. It is claimed that he is a seven year old with terminal cancer and the compliment slips and letterheads are required to gain entry into the Guinness Book of Records. It is believed that John Craig did originally exist but he would now be over 20 years of age. Information that is often contained on a compliment slip or business card, particularly if signed, could probably enable someone to assume an identity, set up a bank account or falsify transactions. If you receive one of these letters do not pass it on. It is not genuine; the child is not terminally ill and has been seven years of age since he came to our attention around 1990. |
