Best
Value Review of Support to Secondary Schools
During the Autumn Term 2002 and Spring
Term 2003 a Best Value Review of Support to Secondary Schools was carried out
and you will remember that you completed a questionnaire as part of this
Review.
The final report was completed in early
summer of 2003 and an action plan to address its recommendations was
produced.
In August, the report and action plan
were submitted to the County Council's Service Development Committee for approval. They in turn referred it to the Education
and Cultural Services Review Panel for comment. At their September meeting,
members of the Review Panel endorsed the recommendations of the Best Value
Review.
The report then had to be resubmitted
to the December meeting of the Service Development Committee. The report and the action plan were accepted
and a progress report towards the recommendations acknowledged and
welcomed.
The final report and the action plan
have now been published and can be viewed on the Esinet.
ICT was one of the 7 areas covered by
the Best Value Review and since the report was written, much progress has been
made in improving the service.
ICT Solutions has produced a
questionnaire (attached) designed to find out the level of satisfaction amongst
their customers. We would be very
grateful if you could spare a few minutes to complete the questionnaire, the
results of which will inform progress on the ICT recommendations in the Best Value
Review.
