The Norfolk Support Line continues to be a highly valuable service for Norfolk County Council employees and continues to be available for all eligible teachers employed in Norfolk schools.
However,
if schools wish to purchase the service for their non-teaching staff, they will
still need to do so on an individual school basis.
In
summary, the position from 1st April, 2004 is as follows:-
Teaching
Staff
No
further action is required from schools on behalf of their eligible teaching
staff, other than to remind existing staff and inform new staff that they can
access the scheme.
Non-teaching
Staff
Schools
wishing to include their non-teaching staff (either for the first time or to
continue to include such staff) within the scheme should notify Education
Personnel Services on the attached purchase form.
This
purchase form can also be completed and submitted electronically via Esinet and
can be found via the School Management Resources link on the Esinet
homepage. The Norfolk Support Helpline
form can be located under the Personnel link.
Please note that if you decide to
buy-in for your non-teaching staff, you should include all non-teaching staff
employed at your school.
The
cost of the service for 2004/2005 will be £13.80 per person (not full-time
equivalent) per annum.
Please
ensure that you inform Education Personnel Services of your decision to
purchase the service, either by completing the electronic purchase form or by
completing and returning the attached hard copy by 2nd April,
2004.
If
you do decide to purchase this service, a journal transfer will be necessary to
debit the cost from the school budget and this will be done by Education
Financial Services unless you notify us otherwise.
If you are
a newly appointed Headteacher, or you wish to have more information regarding
Norfolk Support Line, please contact Virginia Wakely on 01603 223482 or via

If you

Support Line, please contact your school’s Personnel Assistant.
Yours sincerely
