3rd  February 2004

To all Headteachers

Dear Colleague,

Norfolk's Response to the Green Paper

Further to my letter of 2nd February I am writing to confirm the temporary changes to our senior staffing arrangements for support to schools over the next few months.

In order to take forward the work on developing our response to the Green Paper "Every Child Matters", Richard Potts is now working for the County Council's project team full-time until July this year.  We are making the following arrangements to cover his duties over this period:

·        His responsibilities as Senior Education Officer (School and LEA Effectiveness) will be covered for the next two terms by Tim Newton who will be contactable on 01603 222572.

·        The school improvement and general support elements of the Central Area SISO role will be picked up by Mel Croft, Central Area SASE.  He can be reached at the Norwich PDC, through the Central Area School Support Office at County Hall on 01603 223133 and through Christine Slater, Central Area Administrative Officer, on 01603 223155.

·        Chris Hey (Senior Education Officer) will support the work on developing extended school provision with the Norwich Excellence Partnership (01603 223467).

Yours sincerely
