To All Heads of PE, Secondary Schools

Dear Colleague

Re: Annual Secondary Physical Education Conference

I am writing to remind colleagues about the forthcoming PE Conference on 15th July 2005 at the Professional Development Centre, Woodside Road, Norwich.  This is an annual opportunity to meet with other PE professionals across Norfolk and network. We have a range of new professionals working in PE in schools in Norfolk, School Sports Co-ordinators, Specialist Link Teachers, Partnership Development Managers and Community Sports Coaches; this conference represents a chance to meet them and discuss their role and how it could benefit your school.

The day is open to any colleague in your department, although it is aimed at Heads and Directors of PE.  External funding is supporting the conference cost and so there is no charge, other than your release time.  Last year we had twenty five of the fifty two High schools represented, we aim to improve that this year.

I am also seeking your input.  I would be grateful if you could indicate any areas of Physical Education and School Sport that you would like to be presented / discussed at this years conference.  ICT and Gifted and Talented are already on the agenda but your ideas are sought, so please take the opportunity to discuss your ideas at departmental level and fax back your suggestions to me on 01603 702106.  I cannot guarantee that we can deliver everyone’s individual needs but I will try to accommodate as much as possible.

If you have not already secured a place on the course please book via the website, course reference 5UN015, alternatively contact Michelle Steel on 01603 433276 so that she may fax a booking form to you.

Yours sincerely

Martin Radmore, PE/Sports County Adviser
