Re: Numeracy Unit Plans
The National Numeracy Strategy has published unit plans containing detailed lesson plans for mathematics in Years 4 and 6 based on the draft unit plans piloted during 2001 2002. Pilot unit plans have also been published for Year 5.
A file containing printed copies of these plans for the Autumn term is now available from Prolog; Tel: 01787 884393, Fax: 01787 375920. Each file also contains a CDROM with Word and PDF versions of the plans. The plans can also be downloaded from the Standards Website; www.standards.dfes.gov.uk/numeracy/publications.
We have arranged some short twilight meetings across the county for teachers who are new to the plans to introduce the materials and Best Practice in using them. Please see attached for further details. If you wish to attend one of the twilights please complete and return the form attached.
If you would like further information or wish to contact the Maths Advisory team on any other matter, we would like to remind you of the telephone help line which is manned every Thursday in term time from 3.30 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.
