Dear Colleague

ON-LINE LEARNING RESOURCES FROM THE BBC:

       SCIENCE AND THE ENVIRONMENT

I would like to draw your attention to exciting new on-line resources for schools at the BBCi website. These provide excellent learning opportunities and are ideal materials for pupils and teachers. The site is well worth a visit:

www.bbc.co.uk/nature

The Life of Mammals

As you will see from the accompanying leaflet this involves one of the most ambitious TV series about mammals ever undertaken and marks David Attenborough’s 50th year in broadcasting. The accompanying on-line resources offer learning opportunities in a range of subjects (but are particularly good for science) and can be found at the BBC web site.

Planet Norfolk

In association with the above national resources there is a new section being developed on the local BBC Norfolk website. This focuses on Norfolk’s environment and provides a useful source of material for teaching and learning about local issues. For details visit:

www.bbc.co.uk/norfolk

Yours faithfully
