Dear Headteacher

Once again it is time to invite you and all your staff to the Norfolk County Council party, which is being held at the Norwich Sports Village on the evening of Friday 9 July.

The party is now in its sixth year, and for the past three years it has attracted almost a full house of 1,000 guests each time.

Each year we welcome some very lively groups of teachers and non teaching staff from a range of different schools around the county - many of whom have found it an entertaining way to celebrate the end of the summer term.

If you haven't come before, I hope you will want to join us this year bringing your colleagues to make up a table for the night.  That way, you can join other county council staff including social workers, architects, fire staff, librarians, museum staff, planners and solicitors from across the county for what promises to be a thoroughly enjoyable night out.

The ticket price is the same as last year - a very reasonable £7.50.  Included in the price is an excellent meal and live entertainment from the Lee Vasey Band.

A very reasonable bar is also available.  Partners are very welcome to the party.

This year's theme is Ancient Greece and the Olympics, a warm up for August!   You are invited to get in trim and come dressed in style - although I must emphasise that this is not compulsory - dress is otherwise informal.

Tickets are available by post from my office at County Hall and in person from the County Hall shop from early June.   Full details will be given on posters and flyers to be distributed after the half-term holiday. You can contact my secretary, Terry Siedlecki on 01603 222001 or by email: terry.siedlecki@norfolk.gov.uk  if you would like any further information before then.

I am keen to reinforce the message that the invitation to the party does include all colleagues who work in schools.  It would be great to meet you and your staff on 9 July!

With best wishes.

Yours sincerely
