Norfolk Beekeepers’ Association
Children’s competition.
Norfolk Beekeepers’ Association is running a competition in conjunction with the Royal Norfolk show on Wednesday 29th and Thursday 30th June 2005.
Each year we try to educate children and adults of the environment, and the uses that honey bees have in the Countryside.
This year’s competition aimed at Junior, Middle and Special schools is too design a honey jar label. The design can be as imaginative as you like and produced on A4 size paper. The design should include the product i.e. Honey, or Clover Honey, Norfolk Honey etc, the weight in metric and include product origin i.e. made in England and producers name (this can of course be fictional). All entries will be displayed over the two days of the Royal Norfolk Show on the Beekeepers’ stand.
The completed diagrams must have the name, age and telephone number of the entrant together with the name of the school they attend written on the reverse of the paper, and should be returned to the show co-ordinator at the address below no later than 26th June 2005.
The competition will be judged on the first day of the Royal Norfolk show and the prize winner will be notified as soon as reasonably possible.
The prize-winner will receive a book on the subject of bees and insects.
Please do not hesitate to contact the show co-ordinator if you have any queries.
