Urgent Request for Books for Northern Ghana

.

Many schools have text books which are no longer used but seem too good to throw away. A Norfolk-based charity is urgently appealing for these to help to fill a container to help schools which have no books at all.  Schooling in Ghana is in English and the schools need every kind of book from primary readers to advanced science.

We need books to be packed in strong cardboard boxes and sealed. We do not have the resources to collect them but they can be delivered  from now until  7th August, Monday-Friday between  8AM and 3 PM to:

   Brooks of Norwich

   Beckhithe

   Little Melton

   Norwich

Phone: 01603 810748

This is very easy to find in Little Melton. Please phone  either Philip Parfitt or Trevor Rix before delivery. If they are not available reception will deal with the delivery.

Health and Safety legislation means that children must stay with the adult accompanying them at all times. We are very lucky to have a free container and free collection depot. If your school can help please send your details to the Wulugu Project  Brenda@wulugu.freeserve.co.uk  and we will make sure you are kept in touch with the progress of the books on their gruelling journey to one of the most deprived areas of Sub-Saharan Africa.

For further information phone Lynne  Symonds 01603 810748

We are most grateful for your help. The Wulugu Project is saving lives through education.
