Dear Head
As I am sure you are already
aware, Thursday 14th March marks World Book Day. Here at
Jarrold we have decided to get involved in World Book Day again this year in
accepting the £1 World Book Day vouchers.
However, this is not all we
are doing. If you and all of your staff
encourage your pupils to spend their £1 World Book Day vouchers in the book
departments at Jarrold in either Norwich, Cromer or Great Yarmouth, in return
we will give your school a 50p Jarrold
Book Voucher for every £1 voucher spent.
Just think, if 100 of your pupils spend their vouchers at Jarrold your
school will receive £50 worth of
Jarrold Book vouchers to spend on exciting books at Jarrold.
There will be other
activities for your pupils to get involved in:
·
Infamous Norfolk
storyteller, Paul Jackson, will be
on the book department in the Norwich store on Saturday 16th
March. He will be entertaining children
with captivating stories all day. From
10am-12.30pm, there will be storytelling at half-an-hour intervals for children
aged 3-10 years. Then, from
1.30pm-3.30pm there will be two one hour gatherings for 11+ year olds. Spread the word – his energy is sure to
inspire all children to read!
·
Encourage your pupils
to listen to Radio Broadland during
Bedtime Reading Week (starting 11th March). Jarrold has teamed up with the popular local
radio station in order to promote reading.
There will be an exciting competition to enter for all children from
1-16 years of age. The prize? Book tokens of course!
We hope you have lots of fun
during World Book Day and Bedtime Reading Week.
Kind Regards
Lucy Downing
Marketing Officer
