The
new competition is being organised to cater for the following age groups.
8 years & under 9-12 years 13-16 years
PRIZE MONEY will be awarded
as follows:
13-16 years 1st prize £70 + £70 to school 2nd
prize £30 + £30 to school
9-12
years 1st prize £70 + £70 to school 2nd prize £30 + £30 to school
8
years & under 1st prize £70 + £70 to school 2nd prize £30 + £30 to school
Each of the above winners
will also receive a laminated parchment of their poem and a commemorative pen.
In addition a special
commemorative laminated parchment of their poem, plus a pen, will be awarded to
FIVE 3rd prize winners in each
category-PLUS a commemorative
pen to 10 runners up in each category.
The school prize will be
awarded to the school attended by the pupil at time of writing.
Each
contestant is restricted to ONE
ENTRY ONLY, but Schools may submit as many entries as they
wish.
The poem submitted should have ONE AUTHOR ONLY
All suitable entries will be considered for
publication in a high quality anthology of verse.
To enter contestants should
send ONE original poem, consisting of no more than 20 lines to:

Full name, + age of pupil, (at time of writing) and name of the School, must be included at the top, or on the reverse of the same page on which the poem appears.
