Please
note this press release updates the previous release due to changes in the
Minister’s diary.
A
new website, the first of its kind for Norfolk, is being launched by Charles
Clarke MP and local celebrity Chris Rankin (of Harry Potter fame) at the
Millennium Library in Norwich on March 14th.
www.askcab.co.uk contains
advice and information for 13-25 year olds, including quizzes on rights and
entitlements, more in-depth advice and interactive money management advice. In
addition to self-help information there will also be resources and lesson plans
for teachers and other professionals working with this age group. It is run on
the same principles as the CAB service, being free, confidential, impartial and
independent. The launch is being held
at 4.30pm on Friday March 14th.
“We
are hoping that this website will be something any young person can go to for
up to the minute, accurate information and advice on a wide variety of issues,
and we welcome suggestions as to what you’d like to see included” said Steve
Wiseman, Project Manager. “This is the first of its kind for Norfolk so we want
your help to make it a success!”
AskCAB
is run by Norwich and District Citizens Advice Bureau, Wymondham, Attleborough
and District Citizens Advice Bureau and NMA Money Advice Ltd, and funded by the
Legal Services Commission and Anglian Water Trust Fund.
