The Generation Europe Foundation and its UK
national partner, Pearson
Publishing Group, is involved with a unique
and exciting initiative,
supported by the European Commission's DG
Health & Consumer Protection (DG
SANCO), to promote consumer education to
young people via a FREE school
diary Europa Diary: Wise Choices? - an
agenda for the school year 2004/2005
that students aged 15-18 can use in class.
We would be most grateful if you could
promote this initiative, wherever
possible, but particularly in your capacity
as liaison with schools.
Generation Europe shares your belief that
consumer education is an important
part of education, and that the success of
the current initiative is crucial
to persuading the European Commission to
provide future funding in this
important area. We therefore hope that you
will join Generation Europe and
the European Commission in encouraging
teachers to order the diary.
The Generation Europe Foundation will print
and distribute 560,000 copies of
the diary, which is produced in 11 languages
and 18 different editions. Over
the coming months, Generation Europe will
launch on its sister website
www.generation-europe.eu.com a
number of online projects to further enhanceDG SANCO's work with young
consumers.
Copies of the Europa Diary, which is
supplied with a teacher's kit, can be
ordered online by schools until 15th March
2004. When ordering, teachers
should insert the UK order number -
UK-9999-42 - in the order box at the
following address; www.generation-europe.org
Thank you for your support.
