BBC 1 is launching the search for BRITAIN’S BEST YOUNG SPELLER.
All pupils aged 11 to 14 are being invited to take part in a nationwide spelling competition which the BBC will film and make into an exciting new show called HARD SPELL.

To get involved Head Teachers should email hardspell@bbc.co.uk   by Friday 28^th May 2004 .   Schools will then be sent starter packs to organise their own spelling competitions to be held in September. 

Each school’s BEST young speller will go through to a regional heat in October and hopefully onto the national final in London.
