A
special occasion just wouldn’t be the same without a cake – and ChildLine’s 18th
birthday is no exception. To help celebrate this milestone, the leading
children’s charity is calling on schools across the region to whisk, beat, and
stir it up on the first ever ChildLine Day (15 October 2004) by joining in with
Cakes for ChildLine.
Thousands
of children will be whipping up a recipe for success for ChildLine’s birthday
by baking, buying, and selling cakes to friends, family and colleagues. So,
whether you’re a masterchef in the making or not so keen in the kitchen, by
rising to the occasion you’ll be raising much-needed funds for ChildLine – and
enabling the charity to continue providing help and support to children and
young people in the East Midlands and East Anglia.
A special Cakes
for ChildLine pack is available to get cake enthusiasts started. As well as
hints and tips on how to make the most of fundraising for ChildLine, the pack
includes celebrity recipes, featuring a range of healthy favourites and
decadent delights. To obtain your pack contact Rebecca Patterson on 0115 924
