Admissions policy

School admission policy : 2024/25 (Agreed)

If the school is oversubscribed, places will be offered in the following priority order. Places for late applications will be allocated using the same criteria:

Children whose Statement of Special Needs/Educational Health Care Plan names Hunstanton Primary School,

Looked After Children and children placed in emergency accommodation.

Children who reside within the designated catchment area (Hunstanton, Old Hunstanton, Holme next the sea, Ringstead and Thornham) and:

Have a sibling attending the school at the time of their admission.

Have no sibling connection with the school.

Children who reside outside the catchment area and:

Have a sibling attending the school at the time of their admission.

Have no sibling connection with the school

If there are more applicants in a category than places available, priority will be given to those living closest to the school. The distance from home to school is measured on a straight line basis and the data for this calculation is provided by the Admissions Team at Norfolk County Council.
