Where applications exceed the number of places available the following criteria will be applied, in the order of priority:1.Children for whom their Statement of Special Educational Needs names our school:
2.Children in public care (Looked after Children)who are due to start school and live in the area served by our school:
3.Children who live in the parishes of Winterton and Somerton and
i)have a sibling attending the school
ii)are attending the school's Nursery Unit
iii)have no previous connection with the school;
4.Children who do not live in the parishes of Winterton or Somerton
iv)who have a sibling who already attends the school
v)are attending the school's Nursery Unit
vi)have no previous connection to the school, with those living nearer to the school being given priority.
Tiebreak
In the event of a tiebreak being required, the governors will make a decision based on distance from the childs home to the school, children living closest to the school being given preference over those living further away. The distance will be measured on a crow fly basis using data provided by the LAs Admissions Department.
