In the event of over subscription preference will be given to children according to the following criteria, in order of priority:




  1. Looked after children

  2. Those living in the designated area served by the school

  3. Those living outside the designated area served by the school but who will have an older brother or sister attending at the time of admission

  4. Those living outside the designated area served by the school who who have a medical condition which has resulted in a professional/medical recommendation to attend the school

  5. Those specifically seeking a Church school using the following criteria:
      a)Those children of regular worshipping members of the Church of England
      b)Those children of regular worshipping members of a non Anglican Christian Church
      c)Those children whose parents, if not worshipping members of a Christian Church, nevertheless wish their child to attend a Church of England Aided School because of its specifically religious emphasis
      (Those applying under this criterion should forward a supporting letter directly to the school)

  6. Those living outside the designated area served by the school if space permits


In the event of the Governors having to make a choice between candidates of equal strength, priority will be given to the child who lives nearest the school, distance measured by the crow-fly calculation.

When considering admissions, All Saints, Hapton and St. Andrew's Governors admit any child born between 1st September and 31st August of the year they turn 5, according to the criteria outlined below:

1. Children who are looked after by the local authority, and live in the school’s local area and children for whom their statement of special educational needs names All Saints/Hapton/St. Andrew's as the providing establishment.

2. Children who live within the school's catchment area.

3. Children with brothers or sisters already at the school at the time of admission.

4. Children whose parents especially request an education in a Christian environment with an Anglican background.

5. All other children.
