Pupil Transfer Information 2009

Pupil Transfer Information 2009

The effective management of the transition of pupils from one school to another is a key responsibility both of schools and of the Local Authority. A consistent county-wide approach to the transfer of information is especially important for schools which draw their intake from a large number of schools, and for those which send pupils to several different schools.

Click here for the updated Local Authority procedures on transfer which reflect recent national changes. There is now a statutory requirement to use the Common Transfer File. These notes will ensure that schools meet the statutory requirements for transferring information about pupils to receiving schools, and will help towards continuity of curriculum experience for pupils transferring between different phases of school.
