School Workforce Census Briefing Sessions

MI Sheets MI105/08 and 37/09 notified schools of the new statutory DCSF Data Collection, the School Workforce Census.

All Norfolk schools are required to undertake this return in October 2009, before undertaking a statutory return in January 2010.

It is important for schools to understand the processes and procedures required for the new census. As some of the required data is currently held by schools and some within the local authority, this data will need to be amalgamated within your MI system in order to produce the census return.

As an introduction to the School Workforce Census and to assist you with the preparation of your data, we will be hosting a number of briefing sessions. Because of the importance to your school of the accuracy and timeliness of this return, we strongly advise all schools to attend one of the briefings for which there is no charge.

The briefings will be held in the following locations:

	01/05/09 am	King's Lynn
	01/05/09 pm	King's Lynn
	05/05/09 am	Gt Yarmouth
	06/05/09 am	Norwich
	06/05/09 pm	Norwich

We will be posting the venue information within the 'My School' section of the Norfolk Schools website next week. You will be able to view and book online here and places will be on a first come, first served basis. Please limit your booking to two per school. If you require additional places please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you if places are still available. Please ensure you have completed your booking by the 22^nd April 2009.
