The new allocations for 2009-10 are available by clicking here. These are calculated on the basis detailed below, using January 2008 pupil numbers.

An indicative allocation is available for 2010-11.

The DCSF has allowed schools to have 40% of their 2010/11 allocation paid in 2009/10. The Devolved Formula Capital schedule has been updated to reflect this. School's that are part of the ICT Refresh Programme should be aware that they will need to have enough DFC funding available to make a full contribution to the ICT Refresh Programme in 2010/11.

Future years funding may be drawn down, but only if other schools have decided to delay the take up of their 2008-09 or prior years allocation.

Basis of Allocation

Un-modernised schools

A lump sum of £18,500 per school is available. With an additional £63 per primary pupil, £94.50 per secondary pupil and £189 per special/Pupil Referral Unit pupil.

Modernised schools

These are schools with over 80% of their floor area renewed or refurbished within the last 10 years.

A lump sum of £9250 per school is available. With an additional £31.50 per primary pupil, £47.25 per secondary pupil and £94.50 per special/Pupil Referral Unit pupil.

New schools

New build schools receive 50% of a full DFC allocation.

Approval of Expenditure
