Annual Reviews of Statements of Special Educational Need

We are planning to undertake a major review of our Annual Review processes, procedures and documentation during this academic year with a view to producing updated materials for implementation from September 2008.

We would like to ask for your help and advice in this process. At this stage we are gathering views about the present process, procedures and paperwork that we use in Norfolk as well as suggestions as to how they could be improved in the future.

We are particularly keen to hear from schools about how you conduct review meetings, how you use or have adapted the paperwork, what could be done to make the whole process more accessible, efficient and effective from your point of view.

We are particularly interested to hear from you if you have developed ways of taking parent or pupil views that enable them to feel fully included in the process.

We would also like to hear from you if you would be prepared to trial the new paperwork in the Summer Term 2008.
