PSHE Education and Citizenship: Guidance for Schools Working with External Contributors

PSHE Education and Citizenship:
Guidance for Schools Working with External Contributors

Increasingly, schools are working in partnership with a range of external contributors, both individuals and groups. It is essential that any such education delivered to pupils is determined by the school and, in partnership with the external contributor, is effectively prepared, planned, delivered, monitored and evaluated. The aim of this guidance is to provide a practical framework containing a set of sheets that may be photocopied to ease workload by reducing the need for school staff to produce their own protocols. These sheets (contained in the Appendices of the document) will both improve effective partnership working and ensure that what is delivered by any external contributor meets the requirements of the school.

This guidance was developed by a working party including teachers from a range of types of schools as well as external contributors currently delivering aspects of PSHE Education and Citizenship.
