Effect of the Introduction of 20 Hours or Above Teaching Assistant Statement from September 2009 on Junior Schools

Effect of the Introduction of 20 Hours or Above Teaching Assistant Statement from
September 2009 on Junior Schools

A paper was presented to Schools Forum on 8 May explaining the effect of the introduction of 20 hours or above TA statement from September 2009 on Junior Schools, as known at the time.

A review of the School Specific Funding Formula is underway and will form part of the Fair Funding Consultation in the Autumn.

Schools will note that the net change is a reduction of under £2,000 with the new system within junior schools, and therefore the Forum agreed that the current phasing arrangements were acceptable for junior schools.
