e1 pupil attainment and progress tracking package for KS1 and 2
Many Norfolk Primary Schools use the Norfolk Tracking Tool to record and analyse the attainments and progress of children in KS1 and KS2. This tracking system has been recognised by Ofsted Inspectors and by HMI as being very effective. This 'simple' electronic system provides a good range of information to support making judgements about standards and to enable schools to identify children who are underachieving.
Pearson-Phoenix has begun to develop a tracking system as a package for e1, the school information management system used by almost all Norfolk Primary Schools. This tracker is to be based upon the Norfolk Tracking Tool and we are working with them to ensure that it will provide at least the same level of information as the Norfolk Tracker. The advantage of basing the system within e1 is to improve the efficiency of data entry and analysis.
This e1 tracking package is offered as an optional alternative to other existing systems, including the Excel based Norfolk Tracking Tool.
The e1 tracking package should be available within e1 in September 2009. We are impressed with the improved ease and functionality that e1 offers and we will be trialling the package with a group of pilot schools during the first half of the autumn term. We will contact you again during the autumn term to offer further guidance. We will also provide information on transferring assessment data from the Norfolk Tracking Tool into the e1 tracking package early in the autumn term.
